So I have a really interesting idea to make a second campaign like stick war 2 to make it adapted to you can get all the same units you already on locked and the way to unlock the second campaign is through beating the first campaign on insane and even though That and this next idea might take a lot of time for your busy crew a sandbox mode would be GREAT where once you have got all the skins and completed all the campaign levels aswell as buying all the items in the store at least once I feel like that would make your company a lot of money to have that kinda of goal for players to get where they can essentially make their own level and see who would win star level six boss or desert boss or 1 golden spearten with 10 metrics vs a giant zombies spearten. These devices further ditch the original OnePlus recipe (top-tier specs for mid-range price) as they step up to the big dogs. OnePlus has unveiled its 2021 flagship devices in the form of the OnePlus 9 family of devices. Original story (published on April 6, 2021) follows: New updates are being added at the bottom of this story……. Ryan Coogler’s FRUITVALE STATION has received critical acclaim (and quite rightly so) for its emotional delivery and compassion reconstructing the final 24 hours in the life of Oscar Grant and the film will be available to buy on Blu-ray and DVD from October 6th. And why not? The Bard produced his first tragedy when he was in his twenties. This poignant film is based on a true story about Oscar Grant, who was shot dead by police in 2009 and is available to buy on DVD and digital download on October 6th. But most of all, Fruitvale Station is a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions. Coogler got his own thrill when the cinematographer Rachel Morrison came onboard, and together they've made an unexpectedly beautiful film. Jordan is a wonderful actor just watching him lift up Tatiana and strap her carefully into the backseat of their car, you sense the quiet thrill it gives him to be a dad. That's where the action really is in Fruitvale Station: not the street but the hearth, not focused on a drug dealer's fast money but on a manhood worth aspiring to.įemales are at the center of this film: Sophina (Melonie Diaz), the no-nonsense young woman Oscar loves but carelessly cheated on, and their little daughter, Tatiana (Ariana Neal, who effortlessly dominates every scene she's in). But the real information is how angry and aggressive prison could be making him-enough so that his mother (Octavia Spencer) refuses to see him again until he's out. Oscar's no altar boy we briefly see him slogging through a two-year prison sentence for selling Ecstasy. The elements of the popular, gritty urban action genre featuring bad boys and worse cops were there if Coogler had wanted to employ them. "Being black and from the East Bay and close in age to Oscar and his friends, I didn't want to do a documentary, because time was short and these situations keep happening." Fruitvale Station opens with cell-phone footage of the actual killing, but what follows in this astonishing first film is not just artful but real art that takes us down to the very core of truth. So images of Grant's death sparked outrage all over the country, and marches and demonstrations in Oakland. "Most people have cell phones now with cameras," Coogler points out, and the train stopped at the platform was full of revelers. Play icon The triangle icon that indicates to play The cop who shot him appeared shocked, and he later claimed that he meant to use his taser. Because Grant was lying handcuffed on the cement, the bullet ricocheted up through his chest and a lung, wreaking triple havoc. When Grant protested, the cop above him suddenly pulled out his gun and shot him in the back. But as Grant and his friends stepped off the train, transit policemen, responding to the conductor's call about a scuffle on the train, grabbed them, slammed them against a wall, and pushed them facedown on the platform. The evening's vibe had been so mellow that everyone in the train car, Grant included, started gently dancing to one passenger's MP3 player. But at 27, Ryan Coogler also snagged the Audience Award with his captivating feature, Fruitvale Station Filmmaker magazine It's not unusual for a first-time filmmaker to win the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. 8/7/2023 0 Comments Fastest runner in the world![]() You might have shown your early promise as a teenager, like both Paula and Eliud, so that means you’ve got to train for about 15 years. This is especially true when it comes to the marathon because you might not hit your very best until you’re in your early to mid 30s. I don’t necessarily mean just in the race itself – clearly you have to have the confidence, the motivation, the ability to hurt yourself in the race – but it’s also about having the patience, the longevity. However, there are probably other people who are similarly physiologically talented, and so you also have to have the right psychology. You simply have to have the underpinning physiology. You’ve worked with some of the fastest marathon runners in history could you give us an insight into what makes them so special?įirst of all, they are physically phenomenal there’s no getting away from that. It’s those ultimate limits in terms of how fast can people run and what prevents them from going faster that continue to fascinate me. So when it came to the Breaking 2 project, it was about creating a real opportunity to discover what was humanly possible. The marathon is different because the athletes race the distance so infrequently, and the courses that marathons are run on aren’t necessarily ideal for the fastest times, and when the top athletes do get together it’s generally at a major championships, so the goal is to win rather that to run as quickly as possible. ![]() ![]() I think when it comes to distances like the 100m or the mile, those distances are run so frequently that we are probably approaching the limits. And what is the particular appeal of exploring and pushing those boundaries in the marathon? As scientists, we are fascinated by how fast people can run. Of course at some point it might be beaten, but at least for that period of time you can say that you are the fastest athlete who ever lived over that distance, and that really appeals. You know that debate that you sometimes have in the pub after a training session…would you rather win an Olympic Gold medal or set the world record? I was always in the latter camp because I thought you can win an Olympic Gold by beating the people who are there on that particular day, which is obviously no mean feat, but to beat the fastest athlete of all time at a given distance… I thought that was something really special. And it was the idea of enabling the human body to move as fast as possible that captured your imagination? So I kind of lived a bit vicariously through some of the athletes I supported over those years. Along with doing the more sophisticated lab-based work, which was all about trying to discover the mechanistic basis behind athletic performance, I was always keen to apply that knowledge in the real world to help athletes run faster. I did a PhD in exercise physiology and I became fascinated with the research side, but having a link with sport was always important to me. That led me to study sports science at university, where my various injuries and illnesses came along and my own running fell a little by the wayside, but I continued to be fascinated by physiology, by what it is that makes some people run faster than others and what we can do to make people run faster. Like a lot of people, I was somewhat self-coached, and I just became fascinated by the science that underpinned running performance. RW Where did your running journey begin?ĪJ It started with me as a reasonably successful junior runner. We caught up with him to hear about the scientific knowledge he has employed to help the world’s best get even better, what he has learned about them that sets them apart, and how we can apply it all to our own running. This year, he has been working towards a defining marathon performance that’s a little easier for us all to relate to – his own attempt to break the hallowed three-hour mark for the first time, at the age of 50 – and translating his unparalleled wealth of experience into his training. In a long and distinguished career exploring the science behind speed and endurance, Jones has written more than 350 original research and review articles, and worked as a consultant to UK Athletics and the English Institute of Sport. The University of Exeter professor of applied physiology helped to guide Paula Radcliffe to her stunning, long-standing world record in London, in 2003 and he also worked with Eliud Kipchoge on the Breaking 2 project, the culmination of which was the first sub-two-hour marathon in history. Professor Andrew Jones has played an integral part in some of the greatest marathon stories in history. ![]() And as for wall art, there are usually ferns and mushrooms present. The really, really famous star had gotten up very early to talk to Buster, and I did not want to embarrass him as he told his stories. And about one or two questions into our conversation, I realized that this really, really famous star thought he was speaking to podcast host Buster Posey, championship catcher, not Buster Olney, schlubby sportswriter.
